Bangladesh planning context, with its dates attached.

The following publications provide dated context. The site’s own pressure, interruption and consumption records remain the basis for an operating decision.

Source briefing updated 1 October 2026.

A BSS report of 30 September 2026 discussed improvements in gas supply and industrial production alongside continuing constraints. Translate that national context into the site’s actual pressure and interruption history. BSS report

In June 2025, the World Bank reported that LNG supplied more than a quarter of Bangladesh’s gas consumption. A factory’s feasible alternatives still depend on its own access, delivered cost and continuity requirements. World Bank energy security update

The BPC chart uses three FY2024–25 import categories from the published dataset. Grouped refined products include Jet A1, SKO, mogas, HSD and marine fuel. These figures exclude LNG and LPG and are not total national fuel demand.

Gas-sector investment also includes monitoring and asset information. The World Bank’s April 2026 market-engagement notice addressed SCADA and GIS at ten PGCL gas stations. Reliable asset records and a defined operator need are useful starting points for similar assignments. World Bank / PGCL market engagement

Compare the output the process can use.

A purchase unit is not a unit of useful process heat. Convert delivered price using a consistent calorific-value basis and the equipment’s useful-heat efficiency.

FUEL-ONLY FORMULAFuel cost per useful kilowatt-hour = delivered price per purchased unit ÷ (fuel energy per purchased unit × useful-heat efficiency as a fraction).

Use either LHV or HHV consistently for both fuels. Add auxiliary electricity and relevant operating costs to a defined annual model; assess capital and finance separately before combining them.

Test low, expected and high price assumptions using actual delivered offers and taxes. Household cylinder prices, old tariffs and international benchmarks do not automatically describe a factory’s purchase price.

A high fuel-only cost can still have continuity value during an interruption. Assess that value against evidence of the contribution margin protected, not revenue alone.

Establish why the blend is needed.

Compare direct LPG and other feasible backup routes before selecting LPG-air SNG. The equipment must accept the gas properties and operating range.

Review site area, tanker access, storage, vaporization, blending, isolation, controls, fire protection, approvals and operating competence. Compare supplier proposals on the same capacity and performance basis.

Agree who funds and owns the equipment, purchases fuel, maintains the installation and carries price or minimum-volume exposure. Acceptance testing and permissible operating conditions belong in the agreement.

Make the package comparable before pricing.

State the outcome and work boundary, then provide the drawings, equipment information, utilities, site conditions and delivery window available to support a bid.

Identify shutdown restrictions and the mandatory procurement process. Ask bidders to explain exclusions, design responsibility, customer inputs, inspection needs, spares, training, warranty and acceptance tests.

A common requirement makes differences in price and responsibility visible. A collection of differently scoped lump sums does not provide the same comparison.

QUESTIONS / SCOPE BOUNDARIES

Before the commitment.

Do you hold fuel stocks or guarantee supply?

Our scope centres on brokerage, commercial facilitation and coordination. Availability, supply responsibility and performance security must be established in transaction documents; an introductory discussion creates no supply commitment.

Can you support imported LNG or petroleum enquiries?

Qualified buyers and principals can discuss a scope. Procurement and import authority, receiving infrastructure, licensing, finance and the representation mandate must be established with authorized parties.

What does EPC support include?

A bounded package may be coordinated through qualified suppliers and contractors. Complex work needs a verified principal or consortium structure. The proposal identifies who accepts design, construction and performance responsibility.

Is LPG-air SNG natural gas?

It is a substitute fuel made from LPG vapour and air for an approved application. It does not make methane. Suitability depends on the appliance and operating conditions.

Does SNG necessarily reduce fuel cost?

No. Delivered fuel price, efficiency, use and installation cost determine economics. Continuity may justify a case even when unit heat costs rise. Compare direct LPG and other feasible options.

Can an engine or turbine use SNG?

Suitability cannot be assumed. Specific manufacturer and specialist engineering acceptance is needed; the initial scope focuses on compatible thermal applications.

Are savings and payback guaranteed?

An assessment uses the site baseline, implementation cost and agreed measurement basis. There is no universal savings percentage or fixed-payback promise.

Is financing available?

A project-development scope can examine financing needs. Eligibility, appraisal, security and approval are determined by the financier for the actual project.

Can a public organization appoint you directly?

It must follow its applicable procurement process and confirm eligibility. Representation does not establish preferential access, an exemption or an assured award.

Is the training accredited?

Accreditation depends on the programme and awarding body. Specify that requirement in the brief; attendance and completion records are distinct from professional certification.

What information should the first enquiry include?

Provide the organization, site, requirement, timing and a short description of the decision. Detailed records can follow through an agreed channel; keep sensitive operational and financial material out of the initial form.

How are fees agreed?

The proposal records the fee basis, scope, specialist inputs, site work, outputs, milestones, exclusions and any disclosed representation interest before work begins.
